CCWLAX Supports The Steve Fund

Colorado College Women's lacrosse has seen the devastation across the country and our team wants to help. As a team we are also committed to focusing on and improving mental health and awareness towards mental health and breaking the stigma in any way we can. The Steve Fund is dedicated to the mental health and wellbeing of students of color, a particularly vulnerable group at this time. When our team learned of this organization, we knew we wanted to help in any way we can. Please consider donating to our fundraiser in any amount, as we want to show not just the total amount we can raise but the number of people who care that we can reach. 

More information about Stephen C Rose Legacy Foundation (The Steve Fund): Creating an Equal Chance at Mental Health: Founded in 2014, the Steve Fund is the nation's first organization focused exclusively on improving the support for the mental and emotional well-being of young people of color. It prioritizes students transitioning into college, those enrolled in college, and young people transitioning into the workforce and uses programs, research, thought leadership convenings, and communications to stimulate dialogue and best practices that reduce stigma, build knowledge, and support assistance to this targeted group. Enhancing the effectiveness of our nation's higher education institutions and nonprofits around personal support and emotional/mental health of students from families and communities of color is critical to our mission.
