CCSC Beijing Model G-20. By 15 February 2019
Tax deductible
Hello! Our high school's Global Leadership and Activism Club is trying to raise funds to send a small but dedicated delegation of students to Beijing, China for the Model G-20 event taking place in February 2019.
Our students' excellent performance in past local summits and preparedness for this one has ALREADY got us over $ 35,000 in scholarships! Most of our funding has therefore been met, and we feel good about it.
All we need is the last $ 10,000 for travel expenditures.
Our high school, Community Charter School of Cambridge, is a small Title I school located in the heart of Cambridge. It serves 330 students whose families originate from 25 countries around the world and 94% of the students are students of color. Being such a small school with limited resources and filled with historically underrepresented people, travel and international exposure opportunities like these are rare. Yet, these programs are invaluable for a well-rounded citizen to acquire a global mindset. Many of our graduates are very successful and attend institutions like Harvard, Stanford, and Cornell just to name a few. Other students in these institutions have these experiences and our hope is that we will be able to do the same.
The Model G-20 Event in Beijing 2019 is a chance for our globally-minded students to participate in an international setting solving world challenges together with students from all over the world.
Please help us to meet our goal of $10,000 by February 15th, 2019.
