As many of you know, our beloved lesson horse Queeni unexpectedly passed away Wednesday evening. In 2013, I opened CCS and found my best little craigslist horse shortly after. Royal Crests Queen Of Rock known as "Queeni" was a mounted shooting horse turned unicorn shortly after purchase. Queeni was the star of CCS and has taught what I would guess 100's of new students over the past 7 years. She would have been 20 years old this coming year. Recently Queeni was diagnosed with an aggressive Cushions Disease which made her struggle with her health. There was a lot of vet work involved to get to the bottom of things but I do believe that she had an underlying illness.
Unfortunately, the day before Christmas Eve, I had to make the tough decision to put Queeni to rest. Coincidentally, that evening as I scrolled through Facebook, I happened to stumble upon a 10-year saddlebred mare in need of rescue before next week. As I looked more into "Fancy Nancy" I could tell that she would be the perfect fit for our beginners here at CCS. While Fancy is a perfect fit for CCS she is in need of rescue before next week and I am asking for donations to please give CCS the opportunity to give this mare a second chance. These donations would help cover her "fee" as well as hauling, as she is coming all the way from Virginia.
We know and fully understand that 2020 has been a trying year for everyone, and any amount donated would be greatly appreciated. We would love to rescue Fancy and give her a forever home.
