ALI’S LIL KNEES need surgery! Remember us? We are onto Ali’s next orthopedic issue (surprise, it was never just one surgery!) Ali is in KNEED (get it) of surgery to correct her knees that are severely out of place! Her left knee has always been apparent, however her angular limb deformity took first place to improve the quality of her life. But, here we are again! Ali’s knees have now become too severely out of place for her to walk comfortably. While arthritis has already been diagnosed in every single leg, along with osteoporosis, we are hoping to prevent Ali’s knees from being the reason she becomes immobile at just 2 years old. The goal is to fix her knees, so she can have the possibility of a front wheelchair at some point in her beautifully LONG life. My hope, like any other dog mom, is to have Ali live for as long as possible with the best quality of life. Right now, she’s in pain at just 1 year old. Without surgery, she is losing cartilage in her knees that cannot be replaced or fixed. I wish everyone could meet this perfect angel, but all we can do is hope that you get the chance, and continue to ask for help…
While I knew this time was coming, it’s hard to face the reality of a perfect 1 year old puppy needing two more surgeries and still having two bad elbows. She proves to be resilient, while also knowing she can’t use stairs or run as fast as her sister. I wish perfect was an understatement for Ali, but she truly is amazing in every aspect of who she is. We created a BRAND NEW GoFundMe in efforts of doing this all over again, but with a smaller goal in mind. I decided to also keep this one open in case of any confusion, but things always change! Our social media and our Venmo is @alislillegs, and our fundraiser is called Ali’s Lil Knees.
We appreciate any support that you can offer, and hope that you will follow along on our next journey to Ali’s long life.
Anything helps ❤️
