Ali's Lil Legs Fund! Ali needs more surgery!
Donation protected
My sweet 10-month-old girl Ali was found in Mexicali after being thrown out of a car with her sister. Ali has always presented with abnormal limbs, most notably her right front leg, but it turns out there’s more than what meets the eye (hard to imagine).
On December 9, I brought Ali to an orthopedic specialist to determine her comfort level and prognosis, and I discovered what will be necessary for her to live a comfortable and pain free life. EDIT; We have since gone to three different specialists, and called more places than we care to admit (often denials). Unfortunately, Ali needs surgery to correct what the doctor described as an “orthopedic nightmare.” Fortunately, Ali is a good candidate for surgery and is the most loving, sweet, and happy creature.
Per the doctor’s notes, Ali suffers in ¾ limbs (amputation is not a possibility).
{RIGHT FRONT: carpal varus deformity (paw turned in significantly)
elbow dysplasia (both incongruity and fragmented medial coronoid) which will cause progressive arthritis
apparent healed/healing medial humeral condylar fracture (those areas of shadowing in her right elbow compared to the left elbow bone texture; there is a line consistent with former fracture)
LEFT FRONT: elbow dysplasia (both incongruity and fragmented medial coronoid process) which will cause progressive arthritis
LEFT REAR: grade II lateral patellar luxation (the knee cap slips in/out of the groove it is supposed to ride in to perform the pulley function). This is currently a mechanical issue, but given her size and strength, will cause progressive arthritis and become a painful issue.}
Ali will be getting surgery to correct her angular limb deformity, which, only a specialist will perform.
The estimate for her (multiple) surgeries and recovery is 15-20,000 dollars. It’s a lot, I know. I am 23 years old and have made this my world for three months straight. I hope to raise funds so Ali can live as happy and painless as possible.
Anything helps ❤️
