Our beautiful dog, Isabella, got hurt when she was outside playing with a tennis ball. She ran down a steep hill chasing it and she tore her CCL completely right at the knee joint in her back leg (basically the dog version of an ACL.)
She has been limping severely and she doesn't do anything besides hide under my desk. She's very unlike herself and it really pains us to see!
We've taken her to the vet, and she needs surgery for her knee as soon as possible so the damage doesn't get worse. Without it, her knee would "sort of" heal over the coming months, but she could rapidly develop arthritis and it would still be very weak. She's only 4, and she still has a good 6-10 years of her life. We don't want her to have this problem any more than she needs to - she just wants to play and explore!
Alex and I need funds to make this surgery possible. It was definitely a super unexpected expense, and the vet recommended we have this done within the next few weeks (late June - mid July.)
We can't tell you how much it would mean to us to have donations. It might sound cliche, but Izzy is our whole world. We have both had our fair share of tears not knowing how much pain she is in or what would happen to her. She is our absolute best friend and we just want her to be okay. We want her to play with her toys and get excited to go outside and run around the house with us again.
We would greatly appreciate it if you're able to help us raise the funds for her surgery. Every little bit counts! Dogs are our best companions, and Isabella is definitely no exception.
