California Under Forty Travelship for attendance at the 2026 Citizens’ Climate Lobby Washington, D.C. Conference on July 26-28, 2026
** NOTE: Donations to this campaign are not tax deductible. Donations are not overseen or administered by CCE or CCL. This is a special project of CCL volunteers in California separate from the national organization.**
The award will be as follows:
$800 travelships to all awardees and we are looking to have 15 awards.
Chapters are also required to have a matching fund of $800 to cover additional expenses for the awardees. Chapters may decide to raise additional money as needed.
Awardees might be given a promo code for a free conference registration as long as it is done within the specified deadline.
The Travelship: Intended to cover some of the airfare, lodging, food, and registration fees for young adults (14 - 39 years old) seeking to attend the annual June CCL Washington, D.C. conference.
Purpose: This is intended for youth who would not be able to attend the conference without these funds. These awards are particularly intended for those in groups historically underrepresented in the climate advocacy movement.
Awardees: Awards will be given to low-moderate income youth (14 to 39 years old) in the following priority:
1st tier: Are a member of a group historically underrepresented in the climate advocacy movement (could be political affiliation, race, ethnicity, nationality, religion, ability, socioeconomic, etc)
2nd tier: Are from a red district
3rd tier: Are from a purple district
Exceptions can be made on a case-by-case basis
Note: Anyone under 18 must be accompanied by a parent, grandparent, or legal guardian at the conference!
