CCHS Student Health & Safety
Dear friends of CCHS,
As part of a marketing class project, students of CCHS are looking to make “safety buckets” and other upgrades to our school. Due to recent events, we have come to realize the threat of school shootings could happen anywhere. Action against the possibilities needs to be taken now rather than waiting for a bad event to take place. However, we do not have the funds to provide the materials needed to keep our students safe.
This is where you come in!
We need your financial support to fund the following STUDENT SAFETY program in the event where an active shooter response is required. Local law enforcement has identified the following needs to help keep us safer: a safety bucket for all classrooms that will include a first aid kit with tourniquets, spray repellent, eye bolts/rope locking mechanisms for our hollow wooden doors, and window chain ladders for escaping the second floor classrooms.
Other upgrades needed are to replace the four original water fountains that no longer work properly.
The total cost breakdown is $6,800 for the 54 classroom safety buckets, $4,000 for four new water fountains, $ 1,200 for installation for a grand total of $12,000. Our funding period begins November 1st through December 20th.
