James “Rig” Moran sadly passed away on Thursday, January 15th after a courageous nearly seven year battle with cancer. From the very beginning, Rig faced his journey with unmatched strength, pride, and unwavering belief. His sense of humor never faded, and his love for his family shined through every moment. No matter how difficult things became, he always put them first. Rig did everything he could to continue working through his treatments, and Brenda did the same, but as time went on and the demands of his care increased, it became harder and harder for both of them.
Over the last almost seven years, Brenda devoted herself fully to Rig’s care, often stepping away from work to support him. Rig, too, had to step back from his career for daily treatments in Boston and the round-the-clock care required to keep him comfortable and well. This journey demanded everything from them…emotionally, physically, and financially.
The Moran family is strong, proud, and deeply independent. Rig was especially known for his selflessness, positivity, and resilience. But even the strongest families need support in moments like this. The financial strain left behind from medical expenses, lost income, and everyday living costs is significant, and they are now facing this burden while grieving an unimaginable loss.
We are coming together to support the Moran family during this heartbreaking time. All funds raised will go directly toward remaining medical bills, funeral costs, daily living expenses, and helping provide stability and security as they begin to heal and move forward.
Our goal is to raise $25,000 to help lift some of the weight from their shoulders. Any amount, no matter how small, is deeply appreciated. If you are unable to donate, sharing this page is just as meaningful.
Thank you for showing love, compassion, and support to the Moran family during this incredibly difficult time.
