Hello!

My name is Alistair, and I’m 13 years old. I’m thrilled to share that I’ve been selected to represent Cambridgeshire and the UK at the 26th World Scout Jamboree in Poland in 2027! This is truly a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity, and I couldn’t be more excited.

The World Scout Jamboree is an incredible international event that brings together tens of thousands of Scouts from over 170 countries. It’s not just camping—it’s a global celebration of friendship, leadership, and cultural exchange.

Being chosen is a huge honour—and a big responsibility. Part of that responsibility is fundraising. I need to raise £3,500, which will cover travel, accommodation, food, equipment, training camps, and preparation events. Most importantly, a good part of this money also helps subsidise costs for Scouts from low and middle-income countries, making sure that it is truly an inclusive, global event.

Over the next 18 months, I’ll be working hard to reach this goal through activities like:

- Making and selling decorations

- Hosting local events

- An sponsored swim (details coming soon!)
