Our beloved friend CC has been bravely battling Acute Myelocytic Leukemia, a cancer of the blood, since August 2023. This aggressive illness requires her to undergo intensive treatment, including extensive hospital stays, chemotherapy, and most recently a bone marrow transplant at VCU in Richmond. The mounting bills, along with her inability to work during treatment, are causing significant strain. In addition to medical costs, CC has the burden of paying for a place to stay for 4-6 months after her transplant due to requirements that she live a short distance from VCU. Meanwhile she continues to pay expenses for her own home that was not close enough to any transplant program. We are reaching out to our community for any kind of support you can offer to help CC focus on healing and recovery.
