Amanda Arcoleo Poe is a devoted mother, a loving daughter, and a fiercely strong woman now facing one of the toughest battles of her life.

Earlier this year, Amanda discovered an anomaly in her breast. After undergoing medical evaluations, she received the heartbreaking diagnosis of breast cancer. Just days ago, Amanda underwent surgery — the first major step in what will be a long and uncertain road of treatment and recovery. There is still so much unknown, but what is clear is that she will be out of work for the next few weeks as she begins this fight.

Amanda is currently being cared for by her incredible mother, who is not only helping her recover but also stepping in to care for Amanda’s young child. Their family is leaning on each other with grace and resilience, but the physical, emotional, and financial toll is significant.

While Amanda is known professionally for her tireless commitment as a COMSEC manager and team lead, her real superpower is how deeply she shows up for others. At work, she has been the heart of our Physical Security section — the unofficial morale coordinator who never misses a birthday, lifts everyone’s spirits, and gives more than she’s ever asked for in return.
