Help bring Ozzie home

Hi everyone, this is the Shutt family, and we're reaching out for help in the hopes that funding will finally bring our precious boy home where he rightfully belongs.

On the 10h of February 2025, our home in Ruislip, London was broken into by armed burglars, at around 9:30 in the morning, once everyone had left for work/school. They stole watches, jewellery, cash, and during all of the chaos, a family member walked in on it all and was held up against the wall with a machete whilst they finished the job.

As if that all wasn't enough for them, they took the most valuable thing of all, the centrepiece of the household, our beautiful boy, Ozzie, who is a 9 year old male pug. Ozzie would have been sleeping peacefully upstairs, wrapped in blankets, waiting for one of us to come home when he was cruelly snatched and taken away without a trace.

Police and forensics arrived, and found nothing. No fingerprints, hair or any other evidence that could lead to finding who these awful people are. Regretfully, we also didn't have CCTV installed at the house, and no neighbouring houses, buildings or traffic lights caught anything, as no cameras actually covered the vicinity of the house. Therefore, we've had absolutely nothing to go off that might lead to us finding our boy.

Despite Ozzie being featured on multiple news stories, TV broadcasts, and quite literally thousands of shares across multiple social media platforms every day since the robbery, we have had no confirmed sightings of him, or any clues as to where he might be.

Ozzie needs to be home with his family where he truly belongs and is truly loved. He isn't just a dog, or a pet. He is more like a child, or a brother and was so in tune with us in the way that we spoke to him, treated him, and how he went about his daily routine.

Ozzie never had a dog bed or a dog cage at the back of the car. He only slept with us where he felt safe and loved, and even got the front seat in the car. Ozzie followed you everywhere around the house, never leaving your side, even when using the bathroom. He always had the most presents at Christmas, and was the centre of attention in any room.

Not knowing where he is, how he's feeling, and how he's being treated, down to the little things like wondering where he sleeps, what he's being fed and if he's being walked is constantly playing in our minds from the moment we wake up, till the moment we fall asleep. It's agonising. We don't even know for sure if he's alive, and it hurts so deeply to imagine what his little mind was thinking on that awful day.

With 9 months gone, and with Christmas coming up where he'd usually be unwrapping his very own stocking before helping everyone else with their presents, we are more desperate than ever to have him home, and are hoping that raising funds for a reward, merchandise, and possibly a private investigator will be the driving force alongside everyone's daily support, that finally brings him home.

We are extremely overwhelmed and grateful for everyone's continuous support every day. You all started off as strangers, but we consider you all as family. We are so grateful for any donation, any size, and once Ozzie's home, we look forward meeting as many of you as possible, and of course, for you to meet Ozzie.

Ozzie's Description:
  • 9 years old, male pedigree pug
  • DISTINCT scar on his right hind leg as shown in the photos
  • Fawn coloured, black face with some grey
Neutered and chipped (details up to date)

Thank you everyone.
