Friday, September 12 (Also My Birthday ), I was T-boned by a negligent driver, leaving my car undrivable. While initially, insurance was working to get my car repaired, and I didn't have enough to meet my deductible ($2,000), meaning I still wouldn't have been able to get my car back from the shop without those funds, it has since been determined that my car was a total loss, and it is gone. I am living paycheck to paycheck, and so without my car, my only means of transportation, I risk losing much-needed income. My insurance has already sold the car and taken my deductible with it. Without gap coverage, I am still going to owe my lienholder the leftover on the car I no longer have. I also have to find a way to finance a new car quickly. (I am looking in the $5,000 range) My insurance is also wrongly denying coverage by trying to declare me at fault for an accident where I was T-boned. I will look into a lawyer to investigate this further. This accident has caused a cascade of unforeseen costs that I will need to work to cover, and so anything to help recover from this situation is much appreciated!
