Hi, my name is Maria Eduarda Celestino,I live in Vila Velha,Brazil,I'm 9 years old, and I suffer from crohn's disease, I'm already fighting this for 5 months !!!
Since I discovered how severe my disease is, I've been hospitalized 3 times,none of this has being covered by insurance. I already lost 15 pounds.I’m suffering from malnutrition,I can’t keep food in my stomach ,I'm taking iron every week to control the anemia.I'm now trying my third medication (Humira).
Now Im facing a new evaluation, to find out where and what channel of my intestine it is, I have to do the endoscopic capsule, where I swallow a mini camera and it leaves pictures of my intestine,hopefully it will lead us to where my problem is.
Depending on the results, I'm going to have surgery,because the medication I’m taking isn’t working.
I want to go back in being a child. I want to go to school, play, smile, run, ride my bike and play with my dolls.I pray everyday for God to take this disease away from me,
