Dear Family, Friends, and Supporters,

I will soon begin fundraising efforts for my son, Caylib Flores, but before I do, I am reaching out personally. Many of you know how often I have tried to be there for others during difficult times, and now I am humbly asking for your support. Our goal is to raise enough funds by December 2025 to cover Caylib’s upcoming medical needs.

Caylib requires an executive check-up in the Philippines, as I no longer have confidence in the local healthcare system here in Guam. Recently, we had a troubling experience at Guam Memorial Hospital, where Caylib was sent home without any prescriptions or treatment, despite experiencing shortness of breath. The doctor stated his X-ray appeared clear and advised us only to return if his breathing worsened.

Just days later, when Caylib was seen at FHP, the physician was shocked that no treatment had been given. He immediately discovered fluid and crackling in Caylib’s chest and prescribed both antibiotics and an inhaler to help him breathe. While these medications have brought some improvement, Caylib continues to experience difficulty breathing.

Additionally, due to Caylib’s past ear surgery, he will need to see an ENT specialist. Unfortunately, his ENT doctor has recently left Guam, as has his pediatrician. This makes it even more necessary for us to seek care in the Philippines, where we believe he can receive the proper treatment.

The financial burden of ambulance services, emergency room visits, and follow-up care has already begun to add up. Insurance can only cover so much, leaving us with significant out-of-pocket expenses. This is why I am asking for your help.
