Cayden Strong

Hello Everyone,

My son, Cayden, was born with a malignant brain tumor in 2015. He went through chemo and several surgeries that lead to his tumor removal when he was 6 months old. Most recently, he was diagnosed with DICER 1, a genetic mutation that causes tumors to grow. Cayden sees numerous specialist 2 hours away from our home and has been stable up until yesterday. Sadly, I took Cayden into the ER because he was slurring his speech and not acting like the happy, outgoing kid that he is. After doing several brain scans they found another tumor in his frontal lobe pressing on his motor function nerves, along with swelling around this tumor. They also found nodular activity along his spine. Cayden will need another brain surgery to hopefully remove this very large mass. After surgery, treatment options are still being determined. I will be off work until further notice to care for Cayden while we battle these challenges.

Please pray for healing and a successful recovery. Anything helps in this difficult time for our family. Cayden has touched so many lives and makes so many people happy. I want to thank you all for everything, especially taking the time to read about Caydens amazing story.
