Cayden Pierce: Funeral, Memorial, and Support Fund

Donation protected
It's with a heavy heart that we announce the passing of our dear friend, Cayden James Pierce.

Cayden passed away peacefully on Sunday, February 4, 2024 at 2:24 PM surrounded by his mom Maeva, dad James and brother Cameron. We believe it's no coincidence that he passed on 2-4-24 at 2:24. The number 24 has been lucky to Cayden throughout his life and is his favorite number. We have to look at his passing as a positive thing as he isn't suffering anymore.

Cayden was diagnosed with Duchenne Muscular Dystrophy (DMD) at the age of 3 and has been battling ever since. Despite his hardships he never gave up and his parents, family and friends were there to support him every step of the way. He was the sweetest kid, who always found a way to make everyone laugh. He personally had a laugh that was so genuine and contagious. He loved spending time with his family, bbq's outside in the sunshine, playing cards (he was a shark, lol), his pets, camping and of course cars and trucks. Although he wasn't able to drive, with the help of donations from family and friends he was able to get the most badass Chevrolet truck converted for his wheelchair. He would show it off at the Camas car show, where he would see lots of friendly faces.

Maeva and James dedicated their lives to Cayden. When Cayden turned 18 and graduated from high school his parents decided to put their careers on hold and become his paid caregivers. Cayden was really the BOSS then, lol. Those of you that knew him personally know that he had a blast bossing mom and dad around. What kid wouldn't? Now that he has passed his parents have immediately become unemployed. That's why we want to take this opportunity to support the Pierce's as they face the financial hardships of losing a child. They need time to grieve and not worry about end of life expenses and other bills that will pop up around this time. They will plan a Celebration of Life in the summer, Cayden's favorite time of year. If you feel compelled to help this family please know that no contribution is too small and is so appreciated as it gets us one step closer to alleviating the financial strain. The Pierce's are so thankful for the generosity, kindness and support they have been given so far.

We love you Cayden and family.
