UPDATE - I just found out that Cayden will be doing intense chemo for a year and maintenance treatment for two years. Originally when I created this Gofundme, the financial planner in me wanted to raise $15,000 which will be $2500/month to help my sister for 6 months. I raised the amount to $30,000 hoping if we reach it, she can be lessen of her financial burden and focus on Cayden's care for a year or two. She also has two other kids (1 y/o and 11 y/o) that she has to provide for with her part time job.
We are extremely grateful for the outpour of love and support we have received so far, and I hate that we're now in this position to ask for more. We believe in the strength in numbers, and appreciate anything, whether it's monetary, encouraging comments, sharing our gofundme and/or prayers.
If you would rather purchase something (a crochet orange/stickers/merch), you can do so from our instagram @orangesforcayden and that will be supporting us as well.
Thank you, Stay Safe + Healthy!

Hi there! My name is Nou Yang and Cayden is my 13 year old nephew. He initially went to the hospital for some swelling in the bottom half of his left leg on the possibility of a blood clot or bleeding disorder. After all the bloodworks, we were given the confirmed diagnosis on October 22, 2023 that he has B-Cell Acute Lymphoblastic Leukemia (Blood Cancer).
We are devastated, it felt like the world was collapsing on us and we couldn't do anything about it. My silly nephew, who is also Lvl 1 Autistic and is barely strong enough to hold a pencil. He struggles with spelling his name, and can never help carry grocery. How was he going to survive this? I had to bury those intrusive and negative thoughts - He's fragile in physique but is strong in his heart. We believe and pray that he will fight and win this battle.
The battle against B-ALL will be a hard and long journey for our family, but thanks to medical developments, cures are now possible in children, which eases our mind.
Due to all the chemotherapy treatments and hospital visits, my sister will not be able to work fulltime. Fortunately she does have medicaid to help cover some/most of the treatment costs, but there are still non-medical expenses such as rent and utilities. My family and I are providing as much as we can financially but could use all the help we can get.
On a side note - during these few dark days, I have been crocheting oranges (which Cayden once told me was his fave and is also the color for leukemia) and started a instagram @orangesforcayden where we will have a link to buy them. They are keychains and are made with loves and prayers. We would also like to make some stickers and tshirts for him. It has always been a dream of Cayden to have his own line of merch, and we hope to make that happen for him.
**You can also donate via venmo (@whats_nou) or zelle (980-229-2324), that will help us avoid Gofundme Fee, but it’s also okay if it’s easier for you to donate here.**
Thank you for reading through all of this - and we greatly appreciate your contribution.
Stay healthy and strong,
Nou
