Hello, my name is Victoria and I am a 19-year-old college student from Oregon. I am the owner of a 12-week-old Cavalier King Charles Spaniel named Lily that my grandparents gave me for Christmas. On January 20th, she was diagnosed with Patent ductus arteriosus (PDA). Basically, this means that a valve in her heart did not close after she was born like it was meant to. This valve pumps blood into her lungs and then back into her heart, causing it to become enlarged and eventually kill her. Without the procedure to block the valve, she will likely not make it to a year old. The cost of her procedure and the medicine needed after the fact adds up to around $6,000. Please help me save my puppy!
