Matt Caughron's Legacy Fund

On July 3, 2016 we were all devastated, shocked, and deeply saddened to hear the news that Matt Caughron had went home to be with God.  

We all know that the Matt's smiles and positivity swelled everyone he met or saw in Waterloo, IA.   Matt leaves behind five beautiful young children (Sam, Beckett, Griffin, Maccray & Aebry) that need our support both financially and emotionally more than ever.

I am setting this account up for an educational fund for Matt's children to ensure that they have the opportunity and means to further their education when they become of age.  

Matt's brother, Neal was a classmate, friend, roommate, and lifelong brother to me.  Neal has always been there for me when I needed him, and this is my way of supporting him and the Caughron family who are so dear to the Waterloo Community.

It is imperative for me (and the Waterloo, IA Community) to support the Caughron kids as the entire Caughron family has been there for so many of us in a countless number of ways.  Whether it was Matt or Ben's smiles in the hallways of Columbus, Cliff running Optimist Baseball Little League & protecting our city as a Waterloo Police Officer, Neal saving us when we get in a pinch in college or as a Waterloo Fire Paramedic, or Jean's welcoming and loving personality when we need it most.  All I can say is that any member of the Caughron family would give their shirt off their back if someone needed it. 

Please help me support the Caughron family, especially Matt’s five young children.  This is one way we can continue to honor Matt’s legacy as he has touched so many of us.  The proceeds of this campaign will join the efforts already established at Veridan Credit Union.  Thank you for considering a financial donation to Matt’s legacy on Earth, and to help support Sam, Beckett, Griffin, Maccray & Aebry’s future going forward.  Please continue to pray and lift the Caughron family in their time of need.  RIP Matt!
