I have finally found a rental space for my kitty haven/ adoption center and I'm looking to raise $15k to get set up for the 1st year.

 

So far we have raised $7000.

 

I rescue, rehabilitate, TNR and adopt out stray and abandoned cats non stop. 90% of the cats are from Astoria & LIC. I have trapped over a thousand cats in the past 5 years. Homed hundreds of cats. Medically recovered at least a hundred severely injured & sick cats. This is my passion and a much needed service to the community.

 

With this space I will be able to help more shy and semi feral cats get adopted. Many cats are put back out immediately if they are not deemed "adoptable", but that doesn't mean they belong outside. Time and space to assess a cat is much needed to spare them from the harsh conditions of the street.

 

With kitten season approaching, this space will have a quarantine room for sick kittens and prevent the spread of viruses that can quickly kill other kittens who are exposed.

 

This space is a game changer for rescue. I hope to get the community more involved by holding events and educational opportunities for new cat owners and trappers.
