Help Us Open Seattle’s First Cat Sanctuary & Game Lounge!
We’re Cats Eye Society, a 501(c)(3) nonprofit cat rescue based in Northwest Washington, and we’re on a mission to save the world's most vulnerable felines. The special needs cats who are most at risk of euthanasia in traditional shelter systems. Those with medical conditions, disabilities, or behavioral challenges who deserve to have a chance at a happy life.
Now, we’re dreaming bigger. We need your help to bring our vision to life.
The Cats Eye Society Sanctuary & Game Lounge
A cozy, welcoming space in the Seattle area where board games and cats collide. Imagine a sanctuary where visitors can:
Play their favorite vintage video games or tabletop games.
Cuddle up with our quirky, lovable cats.
Unwind, connect, and learn about special needs cat care in a totally unique environment.
This will be a safe haven for both cats and people. Our goal is to:
Provide permanent sanctuary for special needs cats who may never find a traditional home.
Offer an accessible environment for humans and feline disabilities of all kinds.
Build community awareness around the importance of inclusive rescue practices.
Create a fun, interactive space that turns hanging out and gaming into a life-saving act.
Why It Matters
Special needs cats are the most at-risk in shelters. They often face immediate euthanasia due to treatable or manageable conditions like cerebellar hypoplasia, blindness, FIV/FeLV, physical abnormalities, or incontinence. At Cats Eye Society, we believe every cat deserves love, dignity, and a chance to thrive.
Opening this sanctuary and lounge will allow us to:
Rescue more cats that are currently out of options.
Provide ongoing medical care and enrichment in a safe environment.
Generate sustainable income through game lounge entry fees and events, helping fund long-term rescue operations.
What Your Donation Supports
We’re raising $50,000 to secure and build out the space. Your donation will help cover:
Commercial lease and renovations for the sanctuary lounge.
Cat-safe infrastructure (catios, climbing walls, cozy nooks).
Medical care supplies, litter, food, and bedding.
Licensing, insurance, and startup costs.
Whether you donate $5 or $500, you’re helping save lives, and build something magical for both humans and felines.
