Bat signal!! Help with housing for a Wellesley sib (funds, or a room, for the sib and her sweet cat near Fort Lauderdale, FL).
Our W ‘07 sib Nicole Archambault and her adorable tortie cat Paul (18 years young!) are in dire straits. Together, they are facing housing insecurity in Pompano Beach, Florida.
You may have seen her posts recently asking for help, and several sibs stepped up by giving her funds and Hilton points—thank you to all who did! We've been able to get her to this point safely, which allows her to do her side of the work: digging out of the situation for good.
Unfortunately, even with the community's aid, we haven't been able to keep up with the expenses, especially as seasonal rates kick in everywhere. As a result, she's currently living out of her car with her cat.
Nicole has been through a lot. She lost most of her living family in a short span of time, and she doesn't have any friends or family in the area who can help.
She has been sharing her experience through her first night and full day with those close to her. It's been hard to watch her go through this, managing all her belongings and a cat everywhere she goes, all on her own.
Nicole is upbeat and positive through all this, despite the toll on her mental health. For those of us older alums in the Wellesley community, we've watched her on her own self-education journey to web development, and we know how much she's helped others along the way.
Can we help her back on her feet? Yes!, because we are Wellesleys Who Will and Seven Sibs Who Shall! I know it's a lot to be carried by one, or even a few, so I'm hopeful we can pull together to make it happen.
Please consider donating again, or for the first time. We are all grateful for your support <3
