Ruby and Rose may only be just over 7 weeks old, but they have already been through so much in their short lives. They were found at 2 1/2 weeks, with no Mum in sight, completely covered in ticks and fleas - essentially being eaten alive. They needed three nights at two different emergency vets in a short space of time, with one of those nights being touch and go as to whether they would survive as they were both severely dehydrated and anemic.
Following release from the RVC they went straight to specialist hand rearers who spent 4 weeks providing round the clock care and battling the anemia. Thankfully they are now better and back in our care.
If they had not been found, or had we not been willing to fight for them when they were so unwell, they would not have made it.
These two beautiful girls are still small for their age (not unusual for hand rears), and in their very short lives have so far had well over £3,000 spent on them - with more to come on normal health checks, chipping and neutering.
We believe that saving their lives is worth every penny, and would be very grateful for any donations towards their treatment costs - as we don't know when the next Ruby and Rose are coming our way.
