Cat Thelia's "La Bestiole" Movie Pitch

Dear friends,

For my birthday this year, I’m raising funds to make a pitch deck for my movie! A real one!

As some of you may know, I have been working for a while on my own project. I’ve recently pivoted to making it into a 2D animated feature length film.

When 15-year-old American teenager Geraldine reluctantly moves to a rural French village to care for her ailing grandmother for the summer, she discovers a mischievous creature that is wreaking havoc. With the help of some new friends, Geraldine must find a way to control the chaos while transforming the creature into a symbol of unity and magic.

This story is near and dear to my heart, expressing the pull of both directions of being bi-cultural and how charming my little pocket of France can be.

My in-house production team has been great, but apparently, child labor laws are interfering with the production schedule, and creative revisions are competing with homework.

I am raising funds to hire freelance artists such as an art director/concept artist, so I can develop a high-quality pitch deck. If there are more funds raised, I will bring on a storyboard artist, music, and editor, to bring this dream to life. 10% of all funds raised will be donated to a local pet charity association (https://ark79.com/). All remaining funds will be used to pay artists for their time and work. If less than 300 bucks is raised, the total sum will be donated to the charity.

In September, I am applying for local French film art grants, and in March 2025 I plan on presenting it to Cartoon Movie in Bordeaux: all of this will require an initial pitch deck with art, so I can show them this is a project worth funding.
