Cat's going to the ASA World Series
Donation protected
My name is Catherine “Cat” Berger and I am a sixth grader at Franklin Academy where I am a basketball player and involved in the Spanish Club. I have loved playing softball as long as I can remember. One of my earliest memories is playing catch with my grandma, Fran. Through the years, I have developed a passion for playing softball. I started playing baseball at 5 years old in a team where I was the only girl and after quickly excelling I transferred over to a local softball program. The competition and team comradery really drew me to the sport and pushed me to always play at the highest level. Three years ago I had the opportunity to play travel softball with Coach Ricardo Lorenzo. Our team is the Pines Thunder which is a travel softball organization that has been in existence for over thirty years. My teammates and I compete in tournaments all over the state and have proven to be a very successful team. I am a strong center fielder and hitter with my current batting average at .474 and I am continuously working on improving my skills on the plate and on the field.
This summer my team and I will be participating in the ASA World Series in Sterling, VA. While I am excited to have the opportunity to play in such a prestigious tournament, the costs of travel and participation in the tournament have become a burden for my family at this time. For this reason, I am writing you this letter as a request to please help sponsor me in my quest to participate in the ASA World Series this summer. Any donation would be greatly appreciated.
