New Beginnings for Merced County Animals is helping with some of the cats that were found in a U-Haul in Santa Nella a month ago.
New Beginnings had five medical cases come in today from our local city and county officers. Help us care for these animals that just need a little extra help.
Many of you know of the hoarding situation in Santa Nella where 134 Persians were found in a hot U-Haul. All the cats needed care and Merced County Animal Services is caring for the majority of these cats. New Beginnings for Merced County Animals is assisting with the cats that need or will need extra care.
As you can imagine, they were not in good condition. Most are inter-bred, are very underweight and ill.
Last week, New Beginnings assisted in flying 18 of the cats that needed medical care, i.e. eyes removed and severe dental issues. The little one in the photos yesterday gave birth to a premature kitten that didn't make it. We took her for continued medical care. She is on medication and will need quite sometime to recover.
If you are able to donate at this time, please do. Grateful.
