Hello! And welcome to my GoFundMe for Cat Man Drew!

For those who don't know, Cat Man Drew is my pet sitting and dog walking service that I've been running for a little while. Although I was once affiliated with another service, I made the jump to go fully independent within the last year. Unfortunately, starting an independent business comes with a price that I can't quite handle on my own (yet).

Ok, I know some of you are thinking, "Oh, no, not another one," but hear me out: starting up a business costs quite a bit. Advertising, business cards, websites, travel, eventual LLC... you name it, it costs money. Being a business owner is not cheap! And though I have started growing a client base, I can only afford so much reach.

This is where I hope you come in. Cat Man Drew is my passion project, and it can't exist without growth. And without a little help, I simply can't grow alone. The goal is for this to become my main focus--not just a side project. So I am asking my community, near and far, for any support you may be able to provide. Community to be explained shortly, but first, let me explain my goals, which include, but aren't limited to:

When this venture gets its proper footing, it can be my sole means of employment and, if all goes as planned, soon I can help employ other folks with similar passions. And honestly, the sooner, the better. Gone will be the days of me being behind a bar, other than cameos and special occasions (although Ms. Trista Marie won't be going anywhere).

Pet care has always been ingrained in me since a young age--my first job was at Fairmont Veterinary Hospital in high school as a kennel caretaker. My love for animals spans decades. Full veterinary study and work simply wasn't in the cards, but with my background and resources, I know this path is right.

This is where the word "community" comes in.

By supporting Cat Man Drew, you will also be supporting an independent, queer, community-based business. In a time where the LGBTQ+ community is at odds with certain forces, now more than ever, we need to stay afloat. With your help, not only will you be supporting me, but I will pass on that support as this grows. The ultimate goal is to have a trustworthy team, equal opportunity of course, and sourced from both the queer community as well as the neighborhood community that keeps Bushwick (and beyond) afloat. And it all starts with... well... your help!
