My sister, Cathy Redfearn, is fighting the fight against breast cancer.
She 1st went to the doctor April 2019. A series of testing was done and then in July 2019 she got the news she has stage 3 breast cancer and what the treatment plan was. She had to do a couple rounds of chemo to shrink the tumor before doing the surgery to remove the breast. She finished chemo end of December and rang that bell!

I am happy to say that she responded very well to the chemo and the tumor did in fact shrink. Her next step is a mastectomy then radiation will follow.
At this time Cathy has no health insurance and owes more thousands than I can count on 10 fingers and she is only 1/3 of the way to victory. I am grateful she has made it past chemo but know surgery and radiation will be even more for her to endure physically, emotionally and financially.
She was able to work through her chemo treatments however we are not sure how much work she will miss with her surgery and remaining treatments. We will find out when her surgery is later this week. I will update all.
There will also be a fundraiser held in Beaufort if you would like to join. Tentative date right now is February 29th but can change once we know her surgery date. Click here to view the event via Facebook
Please reach out and give what you can. Even a hug sometimes is all that is needed.
