Rallying for Cathy – Help Support Medical and other Expenses
From a new knee to the ICU
It all began with a fairly simple partial knee replacement on July 15. The knee replacement went extremely well; so well, in fact, Cathy was putting weight on it just hours after surgery. What happened next threw Cathy and her family and friends on an unexpected wild ride. A ride that no one saw was coming, a ride that Cathy has never ridden, a climb she has never experienced, and at a speed at which she has never met even riding down the longest, steepest hill. Within four days of her knee surgery Cathy was in the ICU. Just four days later, with severe abdominal pain, she was admitted to the hospital. Two weeks later she has undergone 3 surgeries and 14-days in the ICU. There have been many ups and downs along with an emotional roller coaster during these unprecedented times of not being able to see, talk or hold the hand of our friend, best friend, mom, sister, colleague, and gal who gives so much to the community and people around her
Fortunately Cathy is tough! She can climb the biggest hills and take the biggest downhills at speeds most dare not to go. She’s young at heart and has a lot of fun ahead of her.
The good news is that Cathy was just moved from the ICU to the PCU (progressive care unit); over two weeks from being admitted to the hospital. The progress is good, but she still has a long road ahead of her before she is released and continues her road to recovery.
Cathy is a force, a true friend, a mother, a brave and trusted human who has lent her hands and soul to so many. Now is our time to lend a hand to Cathy.
Any donation is appreciated to help offset her medical bills, potential lost income and other expenses.
The goal is to assist Cathy with the financial burden of this unexpected event so she can focus 100% of her energy on her recovery.
Thank you for your support!
