It is with heavy hearts that we share the news of the passing of our beloved colleague and friend, Cathie Cunningham.

Cathie was a cherished member of the Seattle Athletic Club family for over 23 years. A true cornerstone of our team, she served our community with tireless dedication, warmth, and grace. Cathie was more than just a coworker—she was a friend, a big sister, a mentor, and a daily presence of kindness for so many of our staff and members. She embodied commitment and compassion, and her absence is deeply felt by all of us.

Cathie passed away unexpectedly Monday July 28th, and sadly, she did not have a will or any end-of-life arrangements in place. As a result, her family is now navigating both the emotional weight of this loss and the logistical and financial burdens that come with it.

We are launching this fundraiser to:

Help cover Cathie’s funeral and memorial expenses

Provide legal support in managing her affairs

Support Cathie’s family through this difficult transition
