Cathy and Jason’s Assistance Fund

Cathy and Jason Dooyes are both paramedics in Sonoma County. For 27 years, they both have served our community responding to 911 emergencies. Cathy is currently the EMS Supervisor for the City of Petaluma Fire Department and Jason is a firefighter/paramedic with the Sonoma County Fire District.

Cathy was recently diagnosed with cancer just as they are nearing the completion of building their dream home, which Jason is project managing.

They are in for a long and challenging journey of recovery and their public safety family wants to support them and needs your help.

There will likely be many unexpected financial needs along the way from meal support, travel expenses and unpaid time off of work to name a few.

Although Cathy and Jason are normally private about their personal lives, they do recognize the overwhelming desire from friends and the community to, in some way lend a helping hand. This has meant so much to them and they are very touched and reminded of how the EMS/ Fire community shows up for each other.

Please consider donating to this gofundme campaign. Other than the typical fees charged by the website, 100% of the funds will go directly to Cathy and Jason to use at their discretion.

Together, they have 54 years of unselfish and dedicated service to the people and visitors of Sonoma County. Let’s show them that here, we take care of our own!
