Catholic Prison Formation
There are around 110 prison units in Texas and one full-time Catholic chaplain. There are thousands of Catholics incarcerated, but few to serve them. I've spent my life preaching and teaching the Faith but doing the Kolbe Prison Retreat ministry changed my life.
Recently, I partnered with Ascension Press to create 20 videos for Catholic small groups. They were a wonderful partner, but now I have an opportunity to buy the rights back from them and take the videos in a new direction.
I want to use them to create solid Catholic formation for our inmates. Anti-Catholicism abounds in prison and opportunities for solid formation are often left up to catechists whose budgets are light but who know the need is great. THIS WILL MAKE A DIFFERENCE!
The filming is already done. I need your help with post-production costs. $10,000 is my minimum goal because that is the cost to acquire the footage. Any additional funds raised will go directly to printing DVDs (no internet in prisons!) and workbooks and other production costs.
