Cathie Ledue Shorr Pedestrian Accident

On Thursday, December 7th at around 8:30pm, my mother was hit by a car while walking across Stevens Ave in Portland, Maine. She is in stable condition, but has severe injuries including a broken pelvis, broken shoulder, broken hip, broken ribs, and a leg that's broken in three places. Her first surgery went well but the doctors believe her recovery will be a months long journey, and we anticipate her to remain in the hospital through at least Christmas before moving to a rehabilitation center. She is currently in the process of moving out of her home of 20+ years and needs to be out by March. The lost wages from this accident will make that nearly impossible. Funds will be used to cover costs of living, up-front medical expenses, and moving costs.
