Last month my mom was diagnosed with ovarian cancer. This was the most heartbreaking news I have ever received in my life. A few weeks ago she had to go for surgery to remove the growing tumor. The surgery was a success! However, because the tumor was so large, it left cancer cells behind. The next obstacle she will have to face is chemotherapy to try and kill all the cancer cells that still remain inside her. My mother is a strong, beautiful woman that has been through so much in her life already. I know she is going to take this challenge and handle it with so much grace and strength just like she has done so many times in the past. She is not scared of cancer. She is not scared of the pain. What she is scared of is the fact that she will be losing her hair, and she doesn't want anyone to look at her any different. She wants a wig that looks just like her hair now. A few days ago she went looking at wigs. Unfortunately, the ones that are made out of human hair are not cheap. With medical bills arising, a human hair quality wig is an expense my mother cannot endure alone. My mom deserves to have the best wig out there. She deserves to feel comfortable in her own skin, and I know if she is able to purchase this wig she will continue to light up every room she walks in to.
Yesterday, we found out moms insurance is only covering 80% of her chemotherapy treatments. We are going to try and raise more money to help mom out with her medical bills, so she has one less thing to worry about as she takes on this next chapter in her life. Every penny will count. Thank you everyone who has already took the time to donate!
So family, friends, acquaintances I ask you to please donate. Please help my mom feel as beautiful as she is. Any contribution will be greatly appreciate and will help.
