Catherine "Kimmy" Kimkung

About two months ago Kimmy was diagnosed with Amyloidosis (an abnormal protein that is usually produced in the bone marrow and can be deposited in any tissue and organ) and Multiple Myeloma (a cancer of plasma cells). Both of these diseases together are really attacking her body from head to toe. She has started the first regiment of chemotherapy which is every Tuesday for 6 months. The goal is to cut her protein values by 50%. God willing she does well with this chemo then the next step will be stem-cell transplant along with an even stronger regiment of chemo. She will be hospitalized for these two portions. With all this being said, you can only imagine the out of pocket expenses for medication, doctor and hospital bills. We are asking for everyone to please find it in your hearts to help out with any amount of money you can. Every dollar will help. She is out on FMLA and is already out of her short term disability coverage.
