Help Send Catherine to High School

Catherine is a 14-year old autistic girl who has the opportunity to attend a groundbreaking high school in Atlanta, Georgia. Her mother, Erin, along with a handful of other determined parents and educators set out, in 2015, to build an educational environment where young autistic people could truly reach their full learning potential. In the fall of 2016, their dream was realized, and Connections School of Atlanta opened its doors to an inaugural class of 6 students. Connections School of Atlanta has become a place where any student with neurological differences, regardless of behavior, motor skill, or underlying condition, is honored with both authentic acceptance and a stimulating education. It is the only high school in the entire Southeast teaching age level curriculum to non-speaking autistics alongside their speaking peers. Unfortunately, it is expensive to run a school like Connections and no scholarship money is available at this time. Moderate income families, like Catherine’s, cannot afford the annual tuition of $28,500.
Erin and her fellow founding board members created Connections School of Atlanta out of the need for a high school where kids like Catherine could go – where they would be accepted as completely whole and valuable human beings. Erin's number one priority for the school’s 2017/2018 academic year is to help establish a scholarship fund so that more families can have access to this incredible educational experience.
Please consider helping to support this amazing child. Join me in celebrating Catherine so that she may continue to prove to the world that different does not mean less. All money raised will go toward her tuition for the 2017/2018 school year.
Thank you.
