Catherine and Eric need OUR HELP
Donation protected
On Sunday, January 8,2023, I received a phone call that would turn my life upside down.. Catherine and the love of her life, Eric, were in a life changing motorcycle accident.
The couple were headed up to Julian on Eric’s motorcycle to enjoy pie and lunch and they were struck by another motorist on the 67.
Catherine didn’t have any memory of the accident until she woke up to the bright lights of the inside of an ambulance.
Lets talk a little back story….
Catherine is a single mom of 4 amazing children. She is the first person to give the shirt off her back, lend a hand/leg/tentacle, and she is the kindest, most caring, compassionate person that has ever walked this planet.
Eric graduated from Valhalla in 2006, with a scholarship to San Marcos, he’s always been an amazing pitcher but a phenomenal teammate to his peers.
Eric walked into Catherine’s life as a breathe of fresh air(not only for her but the kids as well). Eric is originally from Northern California but became a San Diego resident early on. (Almost native)
He has been nothing but amazing to Catherine and the kids. He has been that positive male influence that has been needed in the girls lives. For those that know Eric he takes chivalry to the next level, he loves with his entire heart. He is currently working as a physical therapist assistant to continue to fulfill his love athletics. He especially loves those with multiple legs and tails (dogs) especially his beloved Harley.
As of January 9, 2023……
Catherine is awaiting surgery for a shattered wrist and broken collar bone. She is laying in a hospital bed with uncontrollable neck, back, and abdomen pain. Her wrist surgery is going to entail a metal plate along with minimum of 6 screws.
Eric has already gone in for emergency surgery after the accident due to internal bleeding because of a punctured spleen. We are lucky to have him in our lives because he lost the vast majority of the blood in his body and has undergone multiple blood transfusions. He’s currently laying in a hospital bed with multiple tubes down his throat unable to speak. We are lucky if we get movement from his toes.
He has currently experienced surgery on his left leg which was destroyed in the accident. There will be multiple surgeries to follow and extensive physical therapy.
We are asking for help because realistically disability pay will not pay the rent.. nor food on the table for the kids…
thank you
