Hi my name is Maria and I am Catena’s sister and I have decided with permission to start this page to raise funds to off set medical expenses.

Catena is 60 years old from Winnipeg, Manitoba -Mom to her 2 Boys , Auntie to 3 Nieces, Sister, Daughter , Cousin ,Co Worker to her many friends at our neighbourhood Costco.

Catena was diagnosed with Stage 3 Colorectal Cancer back in July 2025 which was a shock to her Family and Friends. With much disappointment she had to say Goodbye to her job for the time so has to commence her journey and her treatment's. Her first round of treatment was a success, with more treatments in the future ,but knew there was surgery in the near future. Recently she just underwent that surgery to remove the cancer within a portion of her colon and to add a ileostomy bag.

With this surgery and while she is healing and dealing with all of this, medical expenses have now come up above and beyond what she can handle. She is getting funds from her disability but not enough to help off set the costs of what to expect in the coming months.

The financial burden is overwhelming all the while navigating medical appointments, and upcoming treatments. We don’t know what to expect going forward, so anything will help.

Her Family ,Friends are by her side while she heals and to keep her smiles up.
