Catcher NYC Premiere
Donation protected
Catcher, a coming-of-age suite of dances set to an original jazz score, is a chronicle of the adolescent journey toward adulthood through the loss of innocence and a confrontation of the world at large. A profound reimagining of the themes and motifs found in the literary masterpiece, Catcher In The Rye.
Catcher moves a single dancer through an abstract landscape of memory, fear, angst, desire, discovery, & hope.
Catcher was first workshopped and presented in Provincetown, MA, during the summer of 2023 to rave reviews and is ready for its New York Premiere Fall 2025.
The Catcher team would love your help in making these opportunities a reality! With the current political climate, stories like Catcher In The Rye are crucial in dismantling archaic ideas about American education and justice systems. Your generous contributions would help support bringing Catcher to a theater in NYC for an industry showcase and performance run in late September early October.
