I live in Baltimore, Maryland, in Upper Fells Point. From the moment I moved here, I fell in love with the city, my neighborhood, and most importantly, my block. That block is my home, and that block was recently under attack when I was the victim of an armed robbery and attempted carjacking.
My block and my community will not stand for this needless attack and want the violent thugs responsible to be held accountable and arrested. The people on my block are why Baltimore is called Charm City. The day after the incident, some of my neighbors took the next day off work to canvas the neighborhood for cameras and request footage. My one neighbor heard the commotion outside during the robbery, came outside, yelled at the perpetrators, and caused them to flee. He put his life at risk to save me and protect our block; I hope you can spare some money to help us catch the criminals and protect our community.
We are raising money with Metro Crime Stoppers to help put out a reward for eligible tips that lead to the arrest and conviction of the man who put a gun to the back of my head. Currently, Metro Crime Stoppers has a reward for $4,000 total. With the increased reward money and fundraiser, we are hoping to get back the attention of the news and blast the suspects' faces everywhere to help the police find and arrest them. We are also hoping for an increased incentive for people to make tips.
