Cataract Surgery for Ka'imi Hermosura
Donation protected
Aloha everyone, family and friends of Ka'imi. You may not have known or have even noticed but for the past five years Ka'imi has been suffering partial blindness in his right eye. This is due to a cataract growth forming on top of his lens, causing his vision in his right eye to be completely blurry and, depending on the lighting, almost blind. Because of his astigmatism, he will require a special lens to replace the current one that is damaged. His insurance only covers the cost of the surgery and not the cost of the auto - focus lens that he needs to correct his vision completely. This is now his second attempt at going through the surgery process. The first time he was unable to make the payment, in the short notice he was given, and at the last min did not receive treatment. Meanwhile, his cataract and his vision has gotten worse, impairing every day activities. As we all know, Ka'imi is a very thoughtful and hard working person. He is often helping anyone who needs it and does not ask for much in return; however, in this situation we are hoping to return his kindness and all he has offered our community by reaching a goal of 4,000 dollars so he may complete the surgery and get back to his active daily lifestyle.
We greatly appreciate your kind and loving donations, as well as, your prayer and healing light. With this goal reached, he will be able to pay for the 3000 dollar lens and also take time off work to heal and recover. His appointment is August 21st.
Please reach out to either me or Ka'imi with any questions.
