Hi, my name is Kirk. Many of you know that COVID has blessed me with an unexpected animal in my life. On May 15, 2020, my dog Hiro joined my whirlwind of an adventure, aka my life. Since then, he has not only brought me joy and unconditional love, but he has also shed that continuous affection for other family members, friends, and more.

Unfortunately, this past April 2022, he was diagnosed with cataracts in both eyes. This was shocking as he is only two years old. After talking with an animal ophthalmologist, she thought Hiro was a great candidate for cataract surgery, with high hopes of recovering with a 90-95% success rate.

With this in mind, as much as this option is excellent, the costs are enormous. With the surgery (which includes pre & post-op exams and treatment), we are looking at an $8.1k bill. Luckily, we can put in more than half the amount; however, we need additional help to cover the rest of the costs and any other expenses.

Since Hiro is so young, we want to give him the gift of eyesight not just in his early years but until the end of his life. Any amount is appreciated, and through your donation, you will be able to help this furry friend. I intend to document his journey pre, during, and post-op; therefore, I hope you will kindly accompany us through this.
