Cataract Surgery for Foxy

My name is Robert Papier.  I am 72 years old and my only income is Social Security. My only companion is my 9 year old Pomeranian  dog.  She was a stray I adopted 4  years ago. When I found her she had a damaged left eye and she has recently developed a cataract in her remaining good eye.  She is otherwise in good health.  the vet said the only way to keep her from going blind is for her to have cataract surgery by a veterinary opthamologist. The cost for evaluation ,Surgery and replacement lens is about $3500.  It is way above my means. A friend of mine at the dog park suggested I try a funding site, so here I am.  It embarrasses me to have to ask strangers for help, but at this point the wellbeing of my sweet little dog and best friend is more important.
