Catalina's Battle with Breast Cancer
Hello Everyone!
My family and I have decided to share my mother’s painful story. For those of you who know my mother, Catalina, know she is a giving, passionate and loving person. She gives with no expectations, she loves fiercely. She a single mother, with four children, who works hard for what she has and refuses to give up no matter what is thrown at her. Even on her worst days, you will see a big smile on her face as she spreads joy and kindness.
Not long ago, she was diagnosed with breast cancer. Devastating news, something we were not expecting, as most females, we think, “it just a cyst.” However, the multiple biopsy’s confirmed otherwise. Our family is thankful of her early diagnosis, her doctors have made it their priority to get her treated. Nonetheless, it is heartbreaking to see a strong women— my mother and my hero— feel so helpless and powerless. Treatment will start right away, just a few more test and if all goes well she should be having surgery sometime in December. After surgery, she will be having other treatments, such as radiation, chemo and other therapy to help with recovery. She is receiving the best care and guidance from her doctors and our family. We have faith our almighty God is with her every step of the way and will help heal my mother through this painful process. There is an army of loving people praying and sending positive energy to help aide my mother through it all.
We are grateful for her insurance coverage, however, it is still not enough as the medical bills are adding up.
Additionally, work will be at a standstill, until she is given clearance. We are grateful for her loving community of friends and family whom have asked how they can help. We felt a GoFundMe account would be a fascinating way to help my mother, any amount helps; this is a person who doesn’t like to ask for help, a person who doesn’t like things given to her, a person who has worked tirelessly to give her family the best care and love.
With that being said, I would like to thank each and everyone in advance for their prayers and generosity. God Bless
