Friends and family of Brody and Caroline,

We are reaching out to ask for your financial support as we prepare to swim across the Catalina Channel on September 23. Your donation will help cover the cost of hiring a boat and crew to support us during this challenging relay.

This event is a long distance tandem relay swim consisting of two teams of six swimmers, with each swimmer taking one-hour legs as we make our way from Santa Catalina Island to the coast of Los Angeles (approximately 20 miles). This is not a competitive race between teams, it's about personal challenge, teamwork, and endurance. Our relay will be observed and authenticated by the Catalina Channel Swimming Federation, and we’ll be accompanied by a kayaker and support boat for safety and welfare.

We've been training for this relay since April 2025, preparing both mentally and physically for what lies ahead.

The event is being organized by Carly Miller, Assistant Coach of the Chapman University Swim & Dive Team. Coach Carly is an expert in open water swimming with numerous impressive accomplishments under her belt, and we’re honored to be part of this endeavor under her guidance.

While ten other swimmers are participating, We have chosen to fundraise together due to our long history as teammates and close friends. Starting at a Summer Club, then moving on to USA Club Swimming, high school competition, and now competing at the NCAA Division III level at Chapman University.

We've never done anything like this before, but we couldn’t be more excited, and a little nervous, to take on this incredible challenge. We’re grateful for your support in helping us make this swim a reality!
