Cat Strong

Our dear friend Cathleen Messare has begun her fight against breast cancer and she is ready to KICK ITS ASS!!!! Cathleen is a young, vibrant, dedicated wife to Steve, and a loving mother to her twin 6 year old boys Kingston and Maxson, 5 year old daughter Evelyn and 16 year old son Austin. Within the past couple of weeks, their world has been turned upside down as Cathleen has been diagnosed with breast cancer. She has already undergone a double mastectomy and having a difficult recovery. She will soon begin multiple rounds of chemotherapy followed by radiation.

Our goal is to cover summer care for the children as she recovers so her husband can continue to provide for their family. We are looking to cover the cost of summer care and anything beyond our goal will help to cover costs of other needed care, school supplies for the children, and the extreme costs that come with fighting breast cancer. 

Cathleen's words say it all about her amazing and inspiring strength; "This is my new journey, the next chapter of my life. I am exactly where I need to be. I have my faith, my trust in God, my husband, my kiddos, my family, my dear friends and all my loved ones by my side supporting me. Staying positive and giving it my best at all times is truly all can do. I have to keep moving forward, in my mind there is just no other choice. I see my smiling hubby and kiddos (and of course my new boobies) at the end of this very long bumpy road, so I’ll keep working hard to get to the finish line. Everything in our life leads us to where we need to be so please do not feel sorry for me. Instead, just send some positive vibes, strength, prayers and love. I am in good hands and I am ready to to kick Cancer’s F**KIN ASS!!!"

The support from their friends and family have been vital and they are extremely grateful from the bottom of their hearts. Lets continue to support Cathleen's journey and help her fight to KICK CANCER'S F**KIN ASS!!!!!!!

Update: Cathleen has started chemotherapy, she will undergo 8 rounds of chemo. After chemotherapy she will have a month of radiation treatment. Because of everyone’s generosity the Messares have been able to put a waterline on there property. Well water must be avoided during treatment. School supplies have been able to be purchased, care for the children and back to school needs, and medical expenses. They still have a long journey ahead of them.
