Cat Sorokin's Bottom Surgery Fund

Hi there. I'm Cat, a trans street medic in Oakland California. My date for bottom surgery is right around the corner and I'm going to need some help. It's been a rough year for all of us. Some of that is reflected in my life as financial insecurity as well as wavering insurance. It's been difficult to find work due to covid and other life situations as well as often working up to 80hrs a week as a street medic trying to work with the community and people that often are overlooked by the system. I wouldn't trade this amazing work for anything, it just means a choice between it or supporting myself within our current capitalist system.

With that in mind, I ask for your financial assistance with actual surgical cost and hair removal that is finally reopening, as well as supplies that I will need after surgery is complete. This surgery is so so important to my personal well-being. It is something that will change my life forever and lift such a large dysphoric burden.

I will donate any and all excess funds to my local mutual aide organizations that I actually know are out in the field with us as well as local unhoused encampments.
