Bowie, our beloved cat was shot with a pellet gun on Friday May 22nd on our street, Alsace Ave in Los Angeles. That night we took him to the emergency room and were told that he had probably gotten into a cat fight and should recover in a few days. When he didn't recover we brought him to our vet and an X-ray revealed he had been shot with a pellet gun and the pellet is lodged into his elbow, joint, fracturing several bones. We have two choices, amputate his leg or perform surgery. We didn't feel that was a choice. The surgery is going to cost anywhere from $5600-$6600. We're reaching out to the community for help. We realize this is a crazy time to be asking for donations, and we sincerely appreciate you taking a moment to consider this. If we receive any money over and above the cost of the surgery we will donate it to Animal Rescue Center a non profit at 2900 W Exposition Blvd. Bowie means so much to us and we hope that with the help of friends and animal lovers everywhere we can help Bowie and other animals in Los Angeles. Thank you.
